Action for Carers Oxfordshire has teamed up with Enrych Oxfordshire to bring you help in your own home
With so many gadgets on offer it’s hard to understand how things work, especially if you’re not used to using digital devices. Now Action for Carers Oxfordshire has teamed up with Enrych Oxfordshire to bring you help in your own home.
In December 2020 and January 2021, Enrych Oxfordshire is offering a free one to one session at home to help you get connected. If you’d like to book a session (typically 1 hour) please call Susan Linnett on 07518 300387.
The sessions might be very basic help such as how to hold the mouse or move around the screen or you may have some basic understanding but would benefit from additional help. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll find that modern technology can make staying in touch a lot easier.
All visits will be subject to restrictions set by the government to comply with COVID-19 guidance and will require your consent to undertake a risk assessment prior to the visit.
Nurse and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust governor Maureen Cundell commends the scheme:
“Having easier access to IT may enable some of our patients and their families to get support, engage in groups, and take part in video appointments from the safety of their own homes without going out to hospital or surgery appointments.
“The project helps reduce inequalities of access to services and enables people who are more significantly affected by social isolation to participate in social and therapeutic activities.”
The offer for carers is open for a limited time, until the end of January 2021. Enrych services for adults living with disability are available in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire throughout the year. See more on Enrych website.
