OAHP Priority: To develop clinical academic pathways for nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals.
Partners across the OAHP are closely linked in their objective to improve education and training for the whole workforce.
As part of efforts across the region to develop and enhance the research and development culture for nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, Pharmacists and Healthcare Scientists known as NMAHPPS, OAHP established a Research Development Award Scheme.
This scheme supports clinical staff employed across the five OAHP partner organisations to develop their capability and capacity for research through education, practice development and training, with an emphasis on collaboration and partnership working.
In 2022, the scheme was funded by OAHP Charity with additional support from NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre, NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre, and NIHR Oxford and Thames Valley Applied Research Collaboration.
