Joyful scenes as OUH NHS Trust staff celebrated at Town Hall event

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Staff nominees and their nominators gathered together at Oxford Town Hall at an event on the evening of Thursday 9 June 2022, to celebrate the fantastic work of the Trust and their colleagues over the past year, and find out who had won a series of awards based on  Trust Values.

There were also awards for Oxford Hospitals Charity Supporter or Volunteer of the Year, a Patients’ Choice Award and a Chair’s Award.

A full list of the shortlisted nominees and award winners in each category can be found on the Trust’s Staff Recognition Awards 2021 website page.

This ceremony comes after what has been an extremely challenging two years for the Trust, and one in which the need for the NHS to thank, reward and acknowledge the contribution of all its staff has been a particular focus.

Terry Roberts, Chief People Officer for Oxford University Hospitals, said:

“It was such an honour to attend the Trust’s Staff Recognition Awards ceremony this evening, and have this opportunity to thank these exceptional people for all that they do.

“The achievements of these winners and shortlisted nominees are an example of the wonderful culture that has been developing amongst our OneTeamOneOUH, and a window into the fantastic work that takes place every day as we care for our patients.”

Professor Sir Jonathan Montgomery, Trust Chair, said:

“I was so privileged to be here, not only to present the Chair’s award, but to bear witness to the extraordinary work our staff do, and the respect afforded to them by their colleagues and patients.”
