The Oxford Joint Research Office is a partnership which brings together the teams in Oxford’s two Universities and two NHS Trusts responsible for supporting clinical and other healthcare-related research. Originally established in 2011 as a partnership between the University of Oxford and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the JRO expanded in 2022 to include Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and Oxford Brookes University.
The world-leading clinical and healthcare-related research conducted by these four organisations combines clinical and academic expertise with state-of-the-art facilities and is dependent on the provision of effective support services to translate discovery into patient benefit. The main aim of the JRO is to facilitate the delivery of the partners’ research through collaborative working between the partner organisations, for the benefit of the people they serve. Supporting the JRO is an OAHP strategic priority.
