The Oxford Academic Health Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Harriet Teare as Chief Operating Officer, taking over the role from Dr Sara Ward.

Working as senior operating manager, Harriet will oversee the delivery of OAHP’s programmes to develop and nurture partnerships across Oxford’s centres for research, education and clinical practice.

Prior to joining OAHP, Harriet worked as Interim Director of Partnerships for the Medicines and Healthcare Products regulatory Agency, and as Research Leader at RAND Europe. She was also a researcher in healthcare and policy at the University of Oxford Centre for Health, Law and Emerging Technologies. Harriet obtained a DPhil in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry from Merton College, Oxford.

Dr Harriet Teare said: “Oxford’s academic health partners benefit from some very strong and diverse skills and experiences, with a great deal of opportunity to deliver on the strategic shifts needed across the healthcare system over the coming ten years.  I’m particularly interested in bringing the partners together around this challenge, to ensure that what we achieve collectively in this space is greater than the sum of the parts. Having spent much of my career in Oxford, I’m delighted to return, and I look forward to working with previous colleagues again and establishing new connections.”
