Dr Nick Broughton
Chief Executive of the Thames Valley ICB and National Mental Health Director
Dr Nick Broughton has been appointed the Chief Executive of the ICB Thames Valley from 1 April 2026.
Nick had worked at the ICB as the interim Chief Executive and has brought a wealth of experience to the organisation. He was previously Chief Executive at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and before that Chief Executive at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, where he led the organisation from a Care Quality Committee rating of ‘Requires Improvement’ in 2017 to ‘Good’ in January 2020. He was also Chief Executive of Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust between 2016 and 2017 and similarly oversaw significant improvements in the quality of services provided.
He joined the OAHP Board in January 2025.
